Welcome to my Zarapullo experience.
In February 2002, I spent a week in the remote settlement of Zarapullo, organized by Ecotrackers Network. Zarapullo is near Tandappi, which lies between Quito and Santa Domingo in Equador. This web page is an account of my experiences staying with a young family on their farm. I went looking for adventure, to have one of those "meaningful experiences" and hopefully to do some useful voluntary work for the family in expanding the capacity for tourism in the area. I achieved this, and also gained a unique insight into a different world and way of living, that I would never have kmown looking from the outside in.
